The Bedrock Band - the background
The Bedrock Band came about through pure chance during a chat over a glass of wine in the autumn of 2007. Bob Todd and Andy Porter were both involved in a Son et Lumiere production at Le Moulin de Chazotte near Cognac and during the celebrations after the production the subject of guitars suddenly popped into the conversation....the rest, as the old saying goes, is history!
BEDROCK are:- Andy Porter (Lead vocals and rhythm guitar) Bob Todd (Lead guitar and vocals) John Culligan (Bass guitar, vocals and sound engineer).
ANDY PORTER (White-Finger) - Lead vocals and rhythm guitar with occasional flurries of lead guitar.

Andy is married to Jen and they have lived just North of Cognac for the
past eight years. They have a dog plus 2 cats and they run a
building and landscaping company. Andy was formerly in a band in
the UK but, in France, his guitar had been gathering dust whilst he
was busy renovating his own house and working on building projects.
Andy is not only the voice of Bedrock but is also the recording engineer for the band.
BOB TODD (Bluesman) - Lead guitar, backing vocals and occasional lead vocals when Andy wants a rest!

Bob has lived just outside Cognac for the past six years with his long-suffering wife Jane. Bob and Jane have renovated their watermill, Le Moulin de Chazotte, and now run four self-catering holiday apartments/gites via their website www.cognacvacances.com Bob was involved with bands in his younger days as a drummer and then bassist. Now, at last, he gets to complete the trilogy by playing lead guitar!
JOHN CULLIGAN (Culli) Bass guitar and backing vocals:
Culli has lived with his wife, Susie, and 2 huge retrievers in a small hamlet between Cognac and Saintes for 5 years and is an architect in the day job. culli@topdraw.uk.com.
He has played guitar since his teens (a long, long time ago in a country far, far away) moving to the bass in the early years then back to the 6 string. Culli played lead for a number of bands in the UK and was with the last of which, Big Girls Blues, for the previous twelve years. The move to France made gigs rare with BGB so he now moves back to the bass with Bedrock. Culli is also the technical wizard for Bedrock and he controls the sound system.

FOOTNOTE REGARDING DRUMS: For smaller venues such as bars and restaurants where the overall volume needs to reduced, we use MP3 backing tracks of real drum recordings instead of a live drummer.
ASSOCIATE BAND MEMBERS:
MANDIE DAVIS (Rockette)

Mandie works with composer Yonass on lounge/dance style music to create a modern sound with lyrics addressing issues of today’s lifestyle www.yonass.net “I am really pleased to be a part of the Bedrock team. I find their enthusiasm and the energy they give to their music overwhelming. It’s also a luxury for me to work with musicians in my own language and, the bottom line is, we have great fun!”
